Some things you should know about us.
Me, myself & I
I’m an aspiring makeup artist with a genuine passion for Makeup Artistry. I have always been amazed and loved the art of makeup. I thoroughly enjoy working with my clients and love putting on my creative eye and artistic skills to amazing use. It gives me immense pleasure to be part of someone’s special day and a new chapter in their lives. More than this art, nothing consoles and comforts like helping people feel more comfortable and confident in their own skin.
“There is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself; comfortable in her perfect imperfection. To me, that is the true essence of beauty.” ― Steve Maraboli
I believe that anything you want to achieve – you can. Stay humble, give thanks, lend a helping hand to those who need it and most of all pray. God has placed each of us on earth to shine! Tap into your passion and the rest will follow because everything you do from your heart will be blessed and it will be successful.
What inspired you to become a makeup artist?
I always had a passion for makeup from a very early age – everything about it was intriguing. It all started at a young age when I started to learn Bharathanatyam, this gave me the opportunity try out make-up on myself and friends during performances. I would take any opportunity I had to do make-up on friends. It was something I loved doing! It sparked my creativity: I was always excited when given the chance and there was always something new to learn from the different faces I worked on. I absolutely love the world of make-up and how diverse it is today. You can literally transform anyone into anything with the right tools and skill. I must say I am extremely grateful for my God-given gift with make-up artistry. I have never had an opportunity to go to school for Make-up and I know it’s my passion for it that has driven me to be the best I can be with the resources I have available to me.
How do you come up with your creative ideas?
I am constantly buying the latest Vogue, Allure, Nylon, and any fashion magazine checking out the latest looks. I get a lot of inspiration from other makeup artists, and fashion designers.
What was the most important thing you learned getting into the industry?
I have learned that networking is so important. Getting out there and meeting people in all areas of the business is so important. I have made some amazing friends over the years…from photographers, to models, to designers…they have kept me going, and I am so blessed to have the network I have. So getting out there is so important!
